Description

Rainbow chard makes this healthy salad beautiful

Ingredients

  • 6 c Swiss chard, chopped
  • 2 Pears, sliced or chopped
  • 1⁄2 c walnut pieces or slivered almonds
  • 2 T red wine vinegar
  • 1 T olive oil
  • 1 t prepared mustard
  • 1 pn Salt and pepper

Instructions

Wash chard. Remove stems and tear into small pieces. Spread on a large plate or 4 individual plates. Add nuts and fruit.

Combine dressing ingredients and drizzle over chard.

Notes

You can vary the fruit with the season: early summer use strawberries, later raspberries and in late summer and fall use apples and pears. Always colorful and tasty.
